Classes at last
June 13, 2009I miss the crowd in Benguet State University… summer vacation is over and the rainy season is here again to bless the soil. Students in the tertiary level will be returning to the Unviersity on June 15, 2009, while students from the elementary and high school started classes last June 1.
I miss the days I was in college. I enjoyed every day I went to class that I never noticed it was time for me to graduate 8 years ago. My stay in the graduate school for a Master’s degree is dragging (LOL) and I promised to myself to complete it by next year. I made myself busy with my family, work, and sideline online that’s why it took me 5 years to finish a Master’s Degree (going 6 years LOL). A degree that is important if I want to be promoted in the future.
I look forward to this school year. I pray that it will be fruitful for me and for everybody.
Baltazar Fernando’s Photo Collection
February 2, 2009I went to visit my lola and I requested to browse their old pictures. I found some pictures that are relevent to Benguet’s political history. I just wish that my great grand pa was still in the family home in Bokod, Benguet when I went home last weekend. He would have told me stories about the pictures I found. Some pictures have his hand writing about the occasion and date but most of the pictures do not have any text at all.
Here are some of the pictures that I scanned to share with you…

System Loss on Electricity
July 3, 2008I never knew anything about system loss when it came to paying bills for electricity— that’s because my lolo takes care of the bill most of the time. When the issue on system loss became wide spread, I became curious about what it was all about. The first time Judy Ann Santos talked about it on a TV commercial, I understood system loss a bit. Then I wne to look for an electric bill from BENECO and true enough there was charge for SYSTEM LOSS.
Well, I received an email today and below is a more funny explanation of system loss.

BSU Products
May 28, 2008We all love pasalubong right? I have been to some places here in our country and I always look for pasalubong before coming back home. For those who are visiting benguet and Baguio, one place to go, aside from the Good Shepherd, is the Benguet State University Food Processing Center and Bakery.
Here some examples of the products that you can get in the Benguet State University marketing Center. You can be assured that these products are made with good quality standards as compared to those being bought in the local market. I’m not saying that those in the market are not good— i’m talking about the value for your money spent.
You will also find the frozen Ube Jam that will last up to a week as compared to those being sold in bottles where you have to consume it in a day or two after buying it. I really love the frozen ube— i’m sure you will too.
So if you want your family to be happy with your pasalubong— don’t forget to drop by BSU to get some goodies.
