Man Adivay Keto after all
The start of activities for this year's Benguet Foundation Week celebration did not come with a bang. In fact, activities for this week was only published last sunday at the Midland. Most of the the activities were on sports and the usual trade fair and Ms. Benguet pageant (how come there's no Mr. Benguet?).
The annual pageant for Ms. Benguet is an activity that I would like to watch this coming Friday. Th iBenguets are not shy after all— they can face a crowd and still have poise even when they turn red hehehe. Hmm the usual Mr Benguet search is usualy that of the muscle building type of competition. How about testing their wits? Well, it's not fair— putting the ladies to various tests with the never ending categories (evening gown, talent, production, number, casual wear, swimsuit, Q&A, etc) while the men just have to pose and show their muscles in different angles.
Well, I haven't been around the tradefair yet. I'm saving it all for friday, which is a holiday. When you visit the tradefair, don't forget to drop by the Ibis bldg along the Capitol driveway. Taste our mushroom burger and mushroom coffee. Also try our vegetable and mushroom canton noodles.

November 15, 2007I have been planning to have my own domain for a web blog. At last! I was able to buy and register ygolottes.com. I am still on the designing stage. I'm a bit hard-up with technical terms when it comes to putting up a simple wordpress blog. I sent lots of queries to the support host for my blog— most answers were helpful but there where answers when I would just "zoom in" my face to the screen of my laptop to re-read the answers sent about my queries.
I'm still struggling to change my Wordpress template. I have to ask for the help of a computer whiz to help me set-up my blog.
ygolottes.com is dedicated to my great ancestors who are the reason why we exist today. For their perseverance to make the land productive, for their leadership that unified people, and for their love that is passed on from generation to generation.
For essay and photo contributions, you may send them to jagfdo@hotmail.com or jagfdo@gmail.com. Published contributions will be cited. I look forward to your visits.
Benguet @ 108

Benguet will be celebrating it's 108th Foundation DAY this month. A 1 week trade fair kicks off on November 18 to showcase the different products of the 13 municipalities of the province at the Capitol grounds. Come and see (also buy) fresh fruits and vegetables that are organically grown— mostly from the backyard.

We went to Pushong, Bokod to visit our dad, lolos and lola who were laid to rest in the (Lamsis) family cemetery. We enjoyed the fresh scent of the pine during our picnic. My son enjoyed gathering pine cones that (according to him) he will put on the Christmas tree for the squirrels to eat. I told my son that squirrels eat acorns not pine cones. The kids enjoyed running around and we didn't have to worry about careless drivers— unlike in the city and La Trinidad, drivers do not make a full stop before pedestrian lanes.
About 90% of the road going to BOKOD is concrete! You do not need to worry about back and butt pains after your trip. Don't forget to stop in stop overs like "Jangjang"– you will find sellers of tilapia and silver carp that weighs up to 2 kgs– yummy for sweet and sour.
